I know Clare Woodman went through a divorce and that was the primary cause of her filing bankruptcy. She was one of the strongest people that I'd ever came in contact with there. She showed sincere emotion when dealing with myself and others because it was almost as if she could feel our pain, and truly wanted to see me suceed. I don't believe a person's entire life and work can be judged on a single event, such as going bankrupt because alot can happen when someone divorces. I know that she took care of two kids and she the students at Elan were almost her third child. If anything I give her alot of credit.

I was in the Elan School for 21 months, from August 1990, till ,May 1992, and during the whole time that i was there i was humiliated,degraded,i was in the boxing ring seven times, all because i was like not even five feet tall and had to fight dirty against the other kids, i spent almost three fourths of my stay in the corner, i was sexually abused,there was a riot in house eight when i was there, i was kicked, pucnched, slapped, i was hog tied in restaints sometimes two to three times a day, and i was only thirteen years old, i am haunted by the abuse i endured there on a daily basis, the school boasts that they are helping kids, they are fucking them up left, and right nothing they say is true

I'm sorry, but the elan you're all bashing on seems different from the one I went to. I was in 8 for nearly 30 months and left as an expediter, and got a LOT out of my stay there. I don't know anything about you guys, but it sounds like all you guys had no investment and are bitching about the system once you're out. Of course it would suck being there if you wanted it to. And yes, I've been removed, shotdown spareparts, and all that fun stuff. So what.

I went to the elan school 88-90. It was the best thing that could have happened to me . I was in elan 3 and I only have good things to say about the school if it was not for the elan school I would be in jail or dead. I have a great job and a amazing family thanks to the values I learned at the school. I would like to thank Mark Rosenberg Tina Hicks and Geffery Gotlebe for my sucsess in life. I find a lot of these things people or saying about Elan hard to beleave . I was put in to the ring 3 times I had more GM than I can count and I spent lots of days shot down and in the corner I even ran away from the school twice and knocked on lots of doors lol. I still to this day tell all my friends and family the reson I am who I am today is becouse of the Elan school most of my freinds I grew up with or dead or in jail and here I am living the American dream.

i was in the riot ,  in elan 4,  think it was 81 or 82.  after the riot, it brought the place into the light,  and things were forced to calm down a little bit,  i saw on the web when i punched in "riot elan 4"  something about a resident and  a  night guard who were killed, but i dont remember anybody dieing.   but there was alot of violence .  the kids had enough of oppression and there was a thick, quiet ,air in the house,  and we all knew something was about to pop off.  i know one of the guys crashed through an upstairs window and landed on the ground and got away, dont know what ever became of him. but there was alot of people leaking out of the building. i remember fire trucks and cops. there were a few residents who we considered brain washed house nazis who also made life hell for the rest. a few people before that did much harm to themselves, one kid who i wont name,literally cut himself to ribbons with razor blades.  i believe a staff member we will call "george", was staff that day.  i myself ended up with a gash on my hand and a
broken hand.       but the story is long.   hope i answered a couple of guestions. BTW ..   looking for Bethany Berry from elan 5 .  p.s. alice dunn is a  fat cunt.
